I went to the natural hot spring located in Catmon. Catmon is a small town located near Alegre, which is famous in beach hotels. It takes almost 2 hours by car to travel from Cebu City to Alegre, depending on the traffic.
        After a few minutes of going down from the mountain (see the third photo above), you would smell the sulfur coming from the hot spring. It is said that the hot spring started three years ago but it was just last month when they made a nice bath tub just like on the photo. At first glance, it looks like a pool but it is a hot spring with temperature of 38 degrees perfect for the weather of Cebu. I recommend that you soak yourself in the hot spring without any second thought. It will help you relax and free yourself from the stressors of everyday life.
        I also recommend you to go down a little further because there is a river there where you can play around (see the last photo above) and a waterfall giving you a natural feeling of satisfaction. You can enjoy soaking in the hot spring while the children are also enjoying playing in the river (However, it is dangerous to leave the children unattended). Waterfalls in Cebu are not plain rivers.
        This hot spring is definitely a recommended tourist spot in Cebu. Only, it is still being developed. A stairs with handrail was made from the mountain to the hot spring but the way to the river is still a rough road. The overflowing beauty of the nature can really give you the best relaxation and satisfaction you could ever imagine. It also becomes the habitat of many butterflies in Cebu.
