When Kyohei in A.S. Fortuna closed at the end of last year, a lot of people felt sorry about it. It was known for its noodles. Do you know that it was its owner Mr. Kyohei Yamamoto who was making and selling the fresh noodles?
Mr. Kyohei was a sculptor who made the Ofuna Kannon image (Kannon is the Goddess of Mercy) and an expert in restoring the cultural deposits such as the national treasure reserves. He fell in love with Cebu and finally migrated to Cebu about 15 years ago. At that time, there were no Japanese restaurants in Cebu so he had to cook Japanese foods if he wanted to eat. But as he was starting to cook Japanese foods for himself, his desire to cook has intensified rapidly that he even researched about it which led him to putting up and managing a Japanese restaurant.
Yes, Kyohei restaurant has closed. A fan of the restaurant, who really feels sad when he cannot eat the restaurant’s noodles, once requested “Could you please continue to sell even just the noodles?” This request led Mr. Kyohei to continue making noodles even after he retired.
Ma'am, these are fresh noodles, fresh noodles. I have tried the sample and as expected, the noodles are fresh noodles. There is no question about it, it is delicious. Have fresh noodles for your dinner tonight. Fresh noodles are different. Because I am here in Cebu, giving up is not allowed. It is Japanese citizen living in Cebu is the one making delicious these fresh noodles. In whatever you do, what is important is the willingness. It gives time for the family to have a moral conversation on a table while having a good time with each other. These are some of the wonders that fresh noodles can give.
I am going to deviate from the topic but it is a loss if you don’t know that delicious fresh noodles like this can easily be obtained!!!
The fresh noodles being sold are Ramen and Udon (Kishi noodles (noodles made in flat strips) are also available). The noodles are only made when an order is received and the customers are required to order at least 20 bowls of noodles (it takes about 2 days to give the ordered noodles to the customers). They also accept orders from a group of people combining their orders just to reach the required minimum. You can refrigerate the noodles for about a week or keep it in a cooler. However, when the noodles are frozen, put them into the boiling water.
The Ramen and Udon cost P30 per bowl (for those who want Ramen soup, it costs P15). To order, please call Mr. Yamamoto.
