A highly recommended comforting café
MARIA M CLARA
Business hours 6:00am~11:00pm Talamban (main branch)

The restaurant has a clean and relaxing wooden interior and it showcases decorated doughnuts, cakes and other sweets. It has also different kinds of breads. More than half of the visiting customers are Europeans and Americans. What a classy restaurant. The different cakes and breads of the restaurant are all from GUSTAVIA (this is next to the Japanese restaurant “Goku”). GUSTAVIA’s cakes and breads are expensive but they are delicious and the restaurant is famous. The prices of the cakes and breads in MARIA A CLARA are just the same with GUSTAVIA bakery.
The food’s average price is about P150. Pasta and lasagna are garnished with bagels, panini and other sandwiches and garlic breads. They have also Filipino style traditional foods. Both the Filipino dishes and real European style dishes can be enjoyed at the restaurant.
You can enjoy yourself over a coffee or an alcoholic drink together with snacks (main branch only - Talamban). They have Aoshima beers, fruity Belgian beers, and others which are all being imported from other countries. Of course, they also have the famous San Miguel beer in long cans which are usually for export.
Even though the Talamban branch is a bit far (It takes 10 minutes or less to travel by car from Banilad branch), it’s worth your time and effort once you have seen and tried their foods.

How can’t you be impressed? A real European sandwich is very affordable.
Most especially, the staff are so accommodating and friendly. You would then wonder if you are really in the Philippines. One time, when I was at the restaurant a few minutes before 9:00 pm, a customer came in to buy breads. I heard the staff explaining “You get a 25% discount on all breads from 9:00 pm”. Oh! What a great service. So impressive!

It’s just so perfect of this restaurant – delicious foods, nice ambiance, friendly staff (Their restroom is also cool).

More from SUIKA: As for the bagels, there are three kinds and all cost P150 each. The fillings of the soft, moist bagel are cream cheese and delicious roasted beef. All these are perfectly delicious and the size of the bagel is just right for one person. (top front photo)
More from me: Panini costs P130. They also have three kinds of panini and I have tried one, the Meat Loaf. How about if is say hot sandwich? Is it easier to understand? It just looks simple but the taste is really delicious! (top rightmost photo)
