The second Sea Walker has started in Orango
The second Sea Walker has started in Orango

A Sea Walker is a diving system that provides an opportunity to observe or explore underwater with just one helmet. When I heard that this famous activity has already started near the Orango Island, I went there immediately. By the way, Orango Island is a famous island where wild birds can be found. It only takes about 5-10 minutes to go there by jetboat from Mactan. The water here is very clear considering the place is not that far from the city.

People of all ages can join in the fun underwater, even children or older people. If you really want to see a fish underwater, then this is your chance to realize your dream. And speaking about wanting to see a fish underwater, Gen and Anna, Grade 5 Elementary students in Cebu, have experienced to be sea walkers.
The photo below ↓ shows a little anxious Gen standing near the ladder of the boat. Actually, what happened is that he dived into the sea. Of course he put on his helmet before diving. Anyway, when he came back to the boat from underwater, he already looked anxious and that is the time when we took the picture. According to him, he had been face to face with various colored fish. “I felt a bit nervous but it was a lot of fun. I want to try it again.”, said Gen. On the other hand, Anna was really scared at first. Well, it’s natural to get scared because the sea looks very deep and we don’t know what’s going to happen. But when she stepped her feet on the ladder of the boat, she immediately became okay. Girl power! So she dived then into the sea and returned after a while. “It was very beautiful down there. Giving food to the fish is the most fun”. It seems that if you just extend your hand to the fish, the fish will take the food right away. I was so happy that I wanted to jump into the sea without any second thought but I was immediately warned by the guide. He said that it would be a big trouble if I fell into the water and that I should not forget about the fact we are in the middle of the sea and down there is the bottom of the sea.
The truth is, even Gen’s grandmother (in her 70’s) tried the Sea Walker adventure. Well, the three generations of the family have really tried it. Having underwater adventure with your family and giving foods to the fish is something you would treasure forever. So if you also want to experience this kind of fun, don’t hesitate to call. A Japanese staff would be glad to answer your queries.
There are also other activities that you can enjoy there. Showers, lockers, and towels are all free and there is a pool where you can enjoy fully. It is open for 24 hours.
